I was gonna post these with no captions or text at all, but I guess I just can't shut up. This is the first roll of black and white I got back from MPL. I thought their prints stunk. I got sharper prints scanning the negs on my computer, and it seems there was quite a bit of "crud" on the negatives. Anyway, these are negtive scans from the ES-10 scanner, and by the time I was done scanning and converting to jpegs and blah blah who knows what's left here from a technical standpoint. I thought they were looking pretty good anyway. Heck, I don't even remember what kind of film this was, probably Minopan 400 shot at 1/1000 with the ND filter in place. Bright sunny day.

So this guy was wandering around the waterfront in Duluth on Lake Superior playing his accordion and waiting for people to toss change into the case. I thought the white spots in the photo on the right was dust on the negatives, but in reality it's seagull poop on the sidewalk.

This is the Iron Man statue by Chisholm, MN Tallest freestanding sculpture in the US.

Ahh..the lighthouse in Duluth and the Columbia Star iron ore ship passing under the aerial lift bridge in Duluth.

Me on the left, my wife Ronna on the right.
